Something for everyone, even a vegetarian like me! Great food. Generous portions. Clean. Busy, but not crowded. Fast and friendly service. Looking forward to my next visit. Yum!
Usually this restaurant is the best frisch's between vandalia, tipp and troy. We were disappointed this time. There was a giant salad out for breakfast, which we found odd. The trays were half full. The bread products were stale and hard. Even some of the employees had attitudes towards our semi large party (of 8).
Frisch's is always a great place for breakfast. You can get the buffet and have a bit of this and that or you can order a plated meal. The salad bar for lunch and dinner is a little basic far as actual salad but some may like that there are usually two kinds of soup and other things like cottage cheese, fruit, gelatin, and puddings. I wish they'd mark the items with artificial sweeteners like the gelatin. I always forget and always regret it.
Not sure why I bother going to this place every couple months. There is only about a 25% chance that the breakfast bar will be fresh and stocked...even when they are not busy. I think I am done taking my chances.
Good food but it's not the same as the old Big Boy we're used too.
